The Story of Mexican Art Dealing
Born from a shared love of authentic Mexican street food and the tactical depths of card games, we created a late-night sanctuary where culinary craft meets intellectual play.
Culinary Excellence Under Chef Sofia
Chef Sofia M. leads our culinary direction. Trained in Oaxacan municipal markets and Michelin-starred contemporary kitchens in CDMX, Sofia focuses on preserving age-old cooking techniques—specifically wood-fire grilling and natural nixtamalization—while presenting dishes with a refined, modern aesthetic.
Designed for Late-Night Dialogue
Located inside a restored early-20th-century printing warehouse, our space features original exposed bricks and heavy steel columns. The furniture, including our heavy card tables and concrete-topped bar, was handcrafted by local carpenters using reclaimed cedar and oak, creating an earthy, tactical environment.
The Foundations of Our Sanctuary
1. Authentic Gastronomy
We make no compromises in the kitchen. Hand-ground corn, direct-sourced chiles, and wood-fired grilling are the standards of every single dish we serve.
2. Healthy Strategy
We believe poker is a game of skill, math, and psychology. By removing real-money gambling, we celebrate the pure strategy and human elements of the game.
3. Supporting Local Art
Our walls double as a rotating gallery showing contemporary Mexican and local street painters, offering them exposure and direct sales from collectors.
4. Creating Community
We build spaces that encourage human connection, where strangers can share a taco table and engage in a friendly game of card strategy.
